Boone County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

Boone County is offering its citizens Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training designed to help them protect themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods in disaster and emergencies. CERT training is conducted through the Boone County Emergency Management Department.

The CERT course involves classroom and hands-on training designed to teach preparedness for hazards that may impact our area and basic disaster response skills, including organizing an effective team, utility management, small fire suppression, medical assistance, searching for victims safely. Those who complete the training are assigned to a team that may be activated to assist with disaster response.

When: Tuesday March 29 6:00-9:30 p.m.
  Thursday March 31  6:30-9:30 p.m.
  Tuesday April 5  6:30-9:30 p.m.
  Thursday April 7  6:30-9:30 p.m.
  Saturday April 9 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

CERT Training is open only to Boone County residents 18 years of age or older. The training is provided free of charge. You must attend all five sessions to complete the training and receive a certificate. Class size is limited to 25 persons, and registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
