Boone County is holding a free  program for residents or business owners that are interested in learning more about County Government operations.

The 9 week Citizens Academy is an educational program with presentations each week on all operations of County government including, guided tours of government facilities. The goal of this program is to educate the participants about each County department and elected offices to ultimately come away with a holistic understanding of all of local government operations.

Starting January 9^th, the weekly program will be held normally on Monday nights and a few Thursday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be a graduation ceremony for all the participants concluding the 9 week program. If you are interested in attending, go to BooneCountyKY.org to fill out the online application. The deadline to sign up is December 31, 2022.

Participant requirements to be considered: 18 years or older, a valid driver’s license or reliable transportations, a resident of Boone County or a business owner.
