Fiscal Court Authorized Appointments to County/Regional Boards and Commissions

The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the following board appointments by Judge/Executive Gary Moore during the November Fiscal Court meetings. 

Tri-County Economic Development (Tri-ED) Board of Directors: Ben Brandstetter, Hebron, KY

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the appointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Ben Brandstetter to fill the unexpired term of Aaron Bludworth to the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors. This appointment is to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2022. 

            Ben Brandstetter is the president of Brandstetter Carroll Inc., a national architectural and engineering firm with locations in Lexington, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Dallas. Brandstetter grew up in Lexington and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He worked as a civil engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina for a national engineering firm before becoming licensed as a professional engineer and returning to Kentucky to work at Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. He served six years as a member of the Boone County Planning Commission and is currently the Chair of Kentucky’s Council on Post-Secondary Education.  Ben resides in Hebron with his wife of nearly 20 years, Karen, and their sons Tyler and Adam. 

Sanitation District NO. 1 (SD1) Board of Directors: Katie Nolan, Union, KY

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the appointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Katie Nolan to the Sanitation District NO.1 Board of Directors. This appointment is a four-year term ending December 31, 2024. 

            Katie Nolan is a senior water resource engineer in Gresham Smith’s Cincinnati office, supporting her clients with their water, wastewater and stormwater needs. She joined the firm in 2007 after receiving her BS and Masters in Engineering from the University of Louisville and was promoted to an owner of the firm in 2017. While with Gresham Smith, Katie has lent her talents to the Water + Environment, Land Planning and Transportation groups and is a licensed engineer in Kentucky and Ohio. Katie lives in Union with her husband Eric and three children, Austin, Haylee and Molly. She and her family enjoy playing sports and spending time outdoors. 

Boone County Local Board of Health: Leah Akin, Vera Hall, James Middendorf, Daniel Riegler, and Tyler Whisman.

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointments by Judge/Executive Gary W.             Moore of Leah Akin, Vera Hall, James Middendorf, Daniel Riegler, and Tyler Whisman to the Boone County Local Board of Health. These reappointments are for a two-year term ending December 31, 2022. 

Boone County Water District Board of Commissioners: James Daugherty and Richard Knock

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointments by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of James Daugherty and Richard Knock to the Boone County Water District Board of Commissioners. These reappointments are for a four-year term ending December 31, 2024. 

Tax Advisory Board on Aging: Richard Gerwe, Mary Alice Gruden, and Adam Howard

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Richard Gerwe and the appointment of Mary Alice Gruden and Adam Howard to the Tax Advisory Board on Aging. These appointments are for a two-year term ending November  30, 2022. 

Tax Advisory Board on Intellectual Disability: Kathy Reutman-Bryant

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W.             Moore of Kathy Reutman-Bryant to the Tax Advisory Board on Intellectual Disability. These appointments are for a two-year term ending November 30, 2022. 

Central Park Arboretum Advisory Council: Greg Ammon, John Walton, David Whitehouse, and David Koester

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointments by Judge/Executive Gary W.              Moore of Greg Ammon, John Walton, David Whitehouse, and David Koester to the Central Park Arboretum Advisory Council. These reappointments are for a two-year term ending December 31, 2022. 

Aviation Noise Abatement Committee: Greg Breetz, David Brown, Harvey Richardson, and Jesse Shipp

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Greg Breetz, David Brown, Harvey Richardson, and Jesse Shipp to the Aviation Noise Abatement Committee. These reappointments are for a two-year term ending December 31, 2022. 

Boone Conservancy Board: Charles Kenner, Union, KY

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Charles Kenner as the ex-officio representative to the Boone Conservancy Board.This reappointment is for a three-year term ending December 31, 2023. 

Boone County Extension District Board: Paul Donaldson and Lisa Anglin

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Paul Donaldson and the appointment of Lisa Anglin to the Boone County Extension District Board. These appointments are for a three-year ending December 31, 2023. 

Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Technical Advisory Committee: Michael Wilson and Jeremy Kleier

            The Boone County Fiscal Court authorized the reappointment by Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore of Michael Wilson and Jeremy Kleier to the Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Technical Advisory Committee. These reappointments are for a one-year term  ending December 31, 2021.
