Boone County Animal Shelter Hosts Annual Pawapalooza

Fundraiser of the Year
Pawapalooza fundraiser is taking place on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the Boone County fairgrounds. The fundraiser will have a variety of activities that the whole family will enjoy. There will be a K9 run or walk that will start at 9:30am at the Idlewild Park in Burlington, a dog building contest, lure coursing($10.00 fee), bouncy house for kids, silent auctions, costume contest, and adoptable animals from rescue and shelters from across the tri-state area will be available. There will also be a variety of vendors and beverages. The entry fee is $5.00 per car. The Boone County Animal Shelter donations will go toward medical supplies that are needed to help the furry friends live a long and happy life. The Boone County Animal shelter was established by Boone County Fiscal Court in accordance with the Kentucky Revised Statutes. Its mission is to provide services which safeguard the public health and safety, to humanely house and care for animals in its charge, to protect the animals of the community from abuse and neglect, to end the euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals and to provide its citizens with information concerning responsible ownership.
