Deposits for Inmate Accounts
To place money on an inmate’s account for commissary use the public must either utilize the kiosk in the jail lobby or visit www.jailatm.com. To place money on an inmate’s account for phone minute usage the public may call 877-998-5678 or visit www.inmatesales.com.
To visit an inmate you must be eighteen (18) years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult. All visitors are required to sign in and must produce valid photo identification if requested.
Main Jail Visitation
VIDEO VISIT AT THE JAIL
All on-site video visitation visits must be scheduled in advance by visiting the public lobby during visitation days, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Visitation for prisoners at the main jail with the last name beginning with the letter A thru letter M is on Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Visitation for prisoners at the main jail with the last name beginning with the letter N thru letter Z is on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Each inmate is permitted a 30 minute visit. Visitation for all prisoners at the main jail is on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Each inmate on Saturday is permitted a 15 minute visit. Children when accompanied by an adult shall be permitted to visit. The inmate may have one adult visitor, (18) years of age or older, in the visitation room at a time and the total time can be shared by no more than three (3) individuals. Visitors will not be permitted into the jail lobby until 6:45 a.m. When scheduling a visit in advance all visitors shall be required to produce a valid state issued ID, consular ID or passport.
Any visitor who refuses to consent to a search or found to be in violation of the visitation rules shall be denied admission.

Attorneys may come to the jail to visit inmates and must present a valid bar card and state i.d. prior to being allowed entry into the jail. All persons entering the jail must wear a face mask the entire time they are inside the jail regardless of vaccination status.
Visitation at our workcamp facility is on Wednesday 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Any person attempting to introduce contraband into the facility will be charged by KRS.

Inmate Mail Policy
There will be outgoing mail daily except on Sunday and holidays. Incoming mail will be delivered the same day received. All incoming mail must be in the form of a Postal post card, which is plain, pre-stamped, and can be purchased at a post office. The writing on the post card must be in pen or pencil. Post cards filled out in marker, crayon, etc.… will be returned to sender. Post cards must have a return address and the sender’s full name or it will be destroyed. Post cards with address labels, stickers, glue, or anything other than pen or pencil will be returned to sender. All photos mailed to the jail must have a stamp on the back and the sender’s full name and return address, or they will be destroyed. Inmates are limited to two 3x5 photos in their possession. All Magazines, newspapers, and paperback books must be mailed to an inmate through a subscription or publisher. Privileged mail from the Department of Corrections, courts, practicing attorneys, and public officials will be accepted and searched for contraband in the presence of the inmate. All incoming mail shall be addressed in the following manner: Inmate’s Name, Boone County Jail. P. 0. Box 898, Burlington, Kentucky 41005. The Jailer has the right to refuse any package (other than legal mail from an Attorney at Law), at his sole discretion. Additionally, all mail which in the Jailer’s sole discretion, may jeopardize the secure environment of the jail, may be confiscated. For security reasons at no time shall any inmate be permitted to correspond to any other inmate in any correctional facility. The inmate and sender will be advised in writing any time mail is rejected. All outgoing mail must have inmate's name, Boone County Jail, P. 0. Box 898, Burlington, Kentucky 41005. Any outgoing mail not having this information will not be mailed. Any mail sent out by an inmate that is returned to sender to the jail, the inmate will not receive and it will be destroyed.
