Dr. Charlie Kenner is a proud son of the late Boone County Sheriff, Ron Kenner. Dr. Kenner is a lifelong Boone Countian and a 1972 graduate of Boone County High School. After graduation, he enrolled at the University of Louisville where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in 1979. He has been practicing dentistry ever since. 

From 2007 to 2017, Dr. Kenner was commissioned as an office in the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Corps and reached at the rank of Major. Dr. Kenner has been deployed several times including a 2013 combat deployment to the middle-east. Dr. Kenner received the Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding service to the United State Army.

In addition to a thriving dental practice and his duties as a County Commissioner, Dr. Kenner is the past-Chairman of the Northern Kentucky District Board of Health and also the current Chairman of the Boone County Local Board of Health. Dr. Kenner and his wife, Joanne reside in Union, KY. They both are members of a local Catholic Parish as well as active members in Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of the Covington Diocese.  Dr. Kenner and Joanne enjoy spending time with their new twin-grandsons every chance they get.
