* Motor oil can be recycled at many area automotive supply stores or oil changing centers for no charge: Valvoline (Mall Road - 525-2234), McQuick's (8114 Highway 42 ? 525-1116), BP Procare (Route 18 & Mall Rd. ? 283-7935), Deatherage Oil Change (6602 Dixie Hwy ? 283-9800), and Pep Boys on Mall Road.

* The Boone County Public Works Dept. recycles used oil by burning it in our waste oil furnaces.
When: Between the hours of 8:00 am & 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
Where: Public Works Dept., 5645 Idlewild Rd., Burlington

How: Please make sure the oil is not contaminated with other substances such as bleach, paint, thinner, gasoline, etc. Oil is accepted in no larger than a 5-gallon container. Used oil generated from businesses will NOT be accepted.
