Foster Parents are one of the most important volunteer teams in our shelter program. This program actually expands the walls of the shelter to allow us to help those animals in need of a little T.L.C. Whether it’s age, health or behavior, foster parents literally give life back to these animals by providing space in their home allowing them the time they need to grow, heal, and learn before entering our adoption program.

All foster homes are approved by the program coordinator. The resident pets in a foster home must be healthy and up to date on all vaccinations and preventative. Animal handling experience and medical treatment knowledge is preferred. Serving as a foster home is a huge time and emotional commitment, but it also makes a huge impact on the animal(s) and our organization.

If you are interested in fostering, the first step is to fill out the volunteer interst form. Learn more here.
