On Friday, March 28, 2008 at approximately 1:05 p.m. a single motorcycle accident on KY 20 (Petersburg Road) in Petersburg, Kentucky sent the rider to the hospital with reported non life-threatening injuries.
Jess Ensminger, 22 of Burlington, Kentucky was north in the 4700 block of Petersburg Road when he lost control in a curve, left the roadway, and struck the guardrail. Ensminger was flown to University Hospital via Air Care.
Ensminger was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Preliminary indications are that excessive speed was a contributing factor.
