On Tuesday, September 09, 2008 at approximately 10:58 a.m. a single vehicle, roll–over accident on Gunpowder Road in Florence, Kentucky sent its driver to the hospital via Air Care.
Janice Carpenter, 71 of Independence, Kentucky was north on Gunpowder Road near Ridgeview Drive when she failed to negotiate a curve in her 2001 Toyota Rav4 and left the roadway hitting a culvert, driveway, and grate before rolling. Witnesses behind her said it rolled 3 or 4 times.
Carpenter had to be extricated from the SUV and then flown to University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio with reported non life–threatening injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
