On Sunday, February 07, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a Boone County woman was arrested for stabbing her boyfriend earlier in the morning.
Melinda Burt, 49 of the 10,000 block of Dixie Highway was charged with Assault 1st degree, Tampering with physical evidence, and Tampering with a witness stemming from an early morning (4:30 a.m.) argument with Robbie Harris, 36 of the same address. Detectives maintain Burt stabbed Harris twice in the arm. After Harris fled the residence Burt cleaned the scene and told a witness to say he had seen Harris stab himself.
Harris, in the meantime, ran to an adjacent address on Melinda Lane where he collapsed inside a doorway. First EMS responders summoned Air Care personnel who flew him to University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio where he remains (current condition is unknown). Burt is lodged in the Boone County Detention Center. No bond has been set.
