On Thursday, November 19, 2009 at approximately 10:30 a.m. a Maineville, Ohio man was arrested for the molestation of a fifteen (15) year old Boone County boy in Richwood, Kentucky in October of 2009.
William Barber, 40 of the 1300 block of Shadowood Trail in Maineville, Ohio was taken into custody at his home, arrested on a Boone County, Kentucky warrant for Sodomy 3rd degree and Unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities (importuning). Both charges are Class D felonies, punishable by 1 – 5 years in the state penitentiary. Barber is being held in the Warren County, Ohio Regional Jail until he waives extradition or is extradited by means of a Kentucky Governor’s Warrant.
The Hamilton Township Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Department assisted in executing the arrest warrant and a search warrant of Barber’s home. Detectives seized Barber’s computer, cell phones, digital media, a safe, and his Jeep Cherokee.
