On Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at approximately 12:50 a.m. the Waffle House restaurant located at 11213 Frontage Road in Richwood, Kentucky was robbed by a knife–wielding man.
The robber, described as a white man, approximately 6’01” tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair (military cut) and goatee wearing a white hoodie, baggy blue jeans, and white athletic shoes, walked in the restaurant and ordered a cup of coffee. When one of the employees left the dining area the robber brandished a large knife described as a Crocodile Dundee type and demanded the cash from the register. After obtaining the cash the robber left the premises running up the hill toward the Econo-Lodge.
Sheriff’s investigators are asking anyone with information as to the identity of the robber to call either Crime Stoppers at (513) 352–3040 or the Boone County Sheriff’s Department at (859) 334–2175.
