On Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at approximately 12:05 p.m. a single vehicle accident on U.S.–25 in Walton, Kentucky claimed the life the lone occupant of the pickup truck.
A Corinth, Kentucky man (name withheld) was driving his 1997 Ford F–150 pickup truck south on U.S.–25 approximately ¼ mile south of KY–338 (Richwood Road) when he lost control, left the traveled portion of the road, and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his seat belt and the airbags deployed.
Initial indicators are that he experienced a medical episode which caused him to lose control of the truck.
Updated information – The deceased is Charles Rice, 82 of Corinth, Kentucky.
