On Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at approximately 9:00 a.m. a single vehicle accident on Gunpowder Road in Florence, Kentucky sent its lone occupant to the hospital via Air Care.
Gavildo Dedios, 55 of Florence, Kentucky was driving a 1994 Chevrolet van north on Gunpowder Road when he lost control of the vehicle running off the road and into the adjacent creek where the van nearly flipped. Dedios had to be extricated from the vehicle and then was flown to University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio with reported non life–threatening injuries.
Preliminary indicators are excessive speed coupled with a wet roadway.
