On Monday, June 8, 2009 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a cab driver was arrested for the rape of a Burlington, Kentucky woman after he drove her home on Sunday morning at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Mobarek Cheurfa, 42 of the 1200 block of Mount Zion Road near Florence, Kentucky is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond on a Rape 1st charge after investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest. The victim, a 36 year old woman from Burlington, told deputies that Cheurfa forced himself on her in the front seat of the cab in her driveway after driving her home from Kenton County.
Cheurfa claims he owns Cab Services LLC and runs it from his home. Rape 1st degree is a Class B felony punishable by 10 – 20 years in the state penitentiary.
