On Saturday, June 6, 2009 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a Cincinnati, Ohio man was charged with the death of his wife stemming from an apparent accident earlier in the day.
Paul Walz, 41 of Cincinnati is charged with Manslaughter 2nd degree, D.U.I., and Violation of a protection order after he ran over his wife, Carisa Walz, 30 also of Cincinnati while on the drive home from a night of partying.
The Walzs were traveling eastbound on KY–20 and had just passed through the intersection with KY–212 when Carisa opened the door and leaned out to vomit. She fell out and was run over. Paul put her back in the car and drove on; initially down to River Road and then back up to I–275 west into Indiana and then Ohio where he dialed 911 to report his wife was unresponsive. E.M.S. personnel responded and transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hamilton County authorities then notified us.
Updated information: Paul Walz claims a man stopped at the accident site asking if they needed assistance. Investigators would like to speak to that person to determine what he saw or heard.
