On Monday, March 23, 2009 at approximately 12:45 p.m. the Walgreens pharmacy located at 1747 Patrick Drive in Burlington, Kentucky was robbed by a woman who threatened the use of a bomb.
The perpetrator is described as a white woman, mid 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’2”, 175–200 pounds, dark brown curly hair pulled back in a pony tail, large sunglasses wearing a dark blue zip up sweat shirt. She walked up to the pharmacy counter, placed a briefcase down, and produced a note demanding narcotics. She left the briefcase on the counter as she fled (reportedly in a white van) prompting the evacuation of adjacent businesses and the closing the nearby roads. The Cincinnati Fire Department’s Hazardous Device’s Unit responded and declared the suspect package harmless at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Updated information: On Wednesday, March 25, 2009 Boone County Sheriff’s investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Katherine Ann Chasteen, 25 with a last known address of Scott Street in Covington, Kentucky. The warrant charges Chasteen with Robbery 1st degree (Class B felony) and Terroristic Threatening 1st degree (Class C felony).

Officer Brian Wells of the Covington, Kentucky Police Department, acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, arrested Katherine Ann Chasteen executing our arrest warrant shortly after 3:00 a.m. this morning.
