ENGLAND–IDLEWILD PARK & DOG PARK

England - Idlewild Park is a 290-acre facility having fishing ponds and natural wetland areas that are home to many wild life and plant England-Idlewild Park - Shelterspecies. Seven athletic fields are available for baseball, softball, soccer and football, as well as a basketball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a large playground. There are 3 miles of paved trails that include fitness stations, and 11 miles of wooded hiking - mountain bike trails.  Three picnic shelters are available and may be reserved.  The park is located on Idlewild Road just past the Boone County Fairgrounds.

BIKING - HIKING TRAIL
Eleven miles of single-track mountain bike trails in a 100-acre wood are the most recent addition to England - Idlewild Park. These are a four-tier route designed for riders of all levels. Beginner (half-mile), Intermediate (2-1/2 mile), and Advanced (5-mile) courses were supplemented with a Technical (2-1/2 mile) route. There is also a half-mile tabletop for jump loop. The trail is well signed to prevent getting lost in the dense woods. Several creek crossings, two picnic kiosks, and elements such as teeter-totters for advanced riders enhance the already beautiful area surrounding the trails. Trail entrance is in the rear of the park between ball fields #6 and #7

THE DOG PARK
The park is located adjacent to the England-Idlewild Park in Burlington, and offers off-leash fun for any size dog. It consists of four sections? two large dog areas and two small dog areas that is equipped with a water fountain that can be used by both the dogs and their owners. There are also benches and tables located throughout each section of the park, which recognize each of our generous donors. We would like to thank everyone who helped make the Boone County Dog Park possible. The facility’s rules are displayed on the park entrance. In order to ensure your safety, as well as your dog’s, it is very important to read and abide by the rules.
