Community Services and Programs

The Boone County Community Services and Programs Department oversees and monitors the distribution of Payroll Tax funds that support mental health, intellectual disability and aging services provided by a broad range of community partners. The department is also responsible for implementation and oversight of all opioid abatement settlement funds,  leadership related to housing trends and assessments, serves as a key role within workforce development initiatives, and researches and recommends programs and services that will enhance the quality of life for Boone County residents. By working with community partners, the Department strives to increase self-sufficiency, encourage personal growth and responsibility, and help resolve crisis situations of eligible Boone County residents.


Note: The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services oversees Medicaid, SNAP, KTAP, and other public services.
