Boone County Assisted Housing Department
The Boone County Assisted Housing Department administers the local Section 8 Rental Assistance Program. This program is designed to help low income families find safe, decent and sanitary housing and to assist in paying their rent. The Boone County Fiscal Court is the governing Board for this program. The basic guidelines are governed by requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 24 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) with latitude for local policies and procedures. The policies and procedures within the local administrative plan are binding upon applicants, participants, owners and the Boone County Assisted Housing Department and its agents. The administrative plan is available at the Assisted Housing Department office for review.
