Problem Locations

Projects currently contained in Kentucky’s Six Year Highway Plan will correct a number of traffic safety and congestion problems throughout Boone County. However, there are many more roadway segments and intersections that have problems with frequent or severe crashes, congested traffic conditions, or both. As can be seen by the accompanying map [click here] , 30 of these locations fall beyond the boundaries of improvement projects in the Six Year Plan and are listed in the accompanying table [click here].

This list was compiled by members of the study Project Management Team, but it is not necessarily a complete and final list. If there are additional locations in Boone County that you believe has considerable safety and/or congestion problems that you would like to bring to our attention, [click here] to download the Problem Location Identification Form, fill it out and send it in to us. Your input will help the study team in developing both short-term and long-term strategies to make Boone County’s roads safer and less congested.
