Recycle antifreeze waste at Boone County Public Works. Do not pour on the ground or in a septic tank. Boone County Public Works recycles antifreeze and uses it in our fleet.
Where: Public Works Dept., 5645 Idlewild Rd., Burlington
When: Between the hours of 8:00 am & 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
How: Please make sure the antifreeze is not contaminated with other substances. Antifreeze generated from businesses will NOT be accepted. We are currently unable to accept red or pink antifreeze, which is commonly found in GM vehicles made in the late 90's.

* Motor oil can be recycled at many area automotive supply stores or oil changing centers for no charge: Valvoline (Mall Road - 525-2234), McQuick's (8114 Highway 42 ? 525-1116), BP Procare (Route 18 & Mall Rd. ? 283-7935), Deatherage Oil Change (6602 Dixie Hwy ? 283-9800), and Pep Boys on Mall Road.
* The Boone County Public Works Dept. recycles used oil by burning it in our waste oil furnaces.
